Welcome! This is really ambitious for me! A web page? Really? Well, if I can keep a houseplant alive, I think I can keep a webpage up and running as well. Let me tell you about my vision for such a page: I'd like this to be a place for my students to supplement what we do in the classroom--or since it is summer, what we will do in the class room once these glorious summer days have passed! I'd like this to be a place where we can come together as a community, and chat about what we're learning. I'd like to encourage you to play around. Click on the links. Post a message. Make some suggestions--what would you like to see on this site? What you can expect of this site: 1. In order to post, you'll have to become a member. To become a member, click on the discuss link, and fill out a bit of information (your name, why you want to join the discussion, etc). I'll get an email, I'll check my roster to make sure you are, indeed, one of my students, and then I'll approve you. 2. I will monitor the discussions. Please chat appropriately. Post about topics related to our curriculum (you have Myspace for the less academic topics), and to be frank, I expect you to be polite! Anything posted that is inappropriate to our purpose, I will personally remove. I reserve the right to revoke your "Membership," and should anything really crazy go on (which it won't), disciplinary action on campus is not out of the picture. 3. On a lighter note, I will do my best to regularly update the page in order to keep the information fun and useful!
